Myst Rolls On To DS In March

Game|Life reports that the classic adventure game, Myst, will be available for the DS in North America this coming March. This title has been enhanced, spruced up and added on to for the umpteenth time just for its release on the DS. While I've played the original, 3D and 'Masterpiece' editions of this game, it would be kind of neat to see what the new Rime Age is like. Other additions include a magnifying glass and a camera feature that allows you to take pictures of things you may need in the future. On said photos, you will also be able to take notes. That should make things a little easier when trying to go from place to place and puzzle to puzzle.
The Myst series is a proud one. Myst, Riven and Exile are the three that I have played through more than once. I, unfortunately, have yet to try out IV and V. I'll get around to them eventually. In the meantime, those who have not yet had the pleasure of playing Myst and have the patience required by this genre, you may want to check it out...provided you have a DS, of course.
Myst DS Comes to North America in March [Game|Life]

Being the massive Myst geek that I am (you cut me open and I bleed journal entries) and also a proud DS owner I will so obviously buy this. Even if is my final attempt to get my boyfriend (who takes an occasional interest in my DS, but no other gaming machine of mine) into the Myst franchise.
I think an evil "GWA-HAHA!" is required at this point.
Please, before you buy this, go and read some reviews of the European release.
Unless the port has been seriously tidied up before it hits your shores, this is not the version you want to choose to get your nearest and dearest into Myst.
The politer descriptions tended to run to 'unplayable, lousy cash-in conversion'.
It's hard to imagine the music and atmospheric effects successfully being translated to the DS...
I've played the European version. It really is unplayable. Unless they completely change the way they've ported the game, this will have identical problems.
Avoid this game like it has the T-Virus.
