Rock Out With Your Rock Band Drum Kit On Your PC
So you've spent your last dime and gotten one of the greatest peripheral-heavy games around, now what? Besides playing Rock Band the controllers lie unused, until now. Andrew Rudson has created a great little piece of freeware to turn the Rock Band drum kit into a veritable set of synth drums with his program called Drum Machine.
The program allows you to plug the drums into your PC, and assign sounds to each pad. There are a few sounds that come with Drum Machine, but it also supports up to 1024 different WAV files. You can even record yourself, save it to file to play back later.
This is a great app that can extend the functionality of your drum kit beyond the realm of gaming. Give it a shot and see what you think. And if you like what you see, send the guy some cash with the donate button at the bottom of the page. These types of programs don't write themselves.
