Rumorama: Microsoft Says "Sorry" To Gold Members With Stuff, Maybe?

I hope everyone out there enjoyed their Gregorian New Year festivities responsibly! I was fortunate enough to have made plans well in advance for this year, which ultimately bought me a very great distance from my consoles. Apparently, Xbox Live users have been having numerous problems with their connections and various other problems with stability. I guess I won the luck of the draw, and experienced absolutely no issues until a friend of mine tried to hook up his system to leech some of our high-speed internets.
With nearly a week of connectivity issues over one of the largest online gaming periods of the year, Microsoft seems to fallen victim to a tragic case of very bad timing. They have always been good sports about their playing subscribers, if you system is being serviced, they refund you for the downtime with a one month subscription card.
While nothing has been officially announced, they have stated, “…we will definitely be doing something for our Gold members that weren’t able to get online over the last week.”
I'm just hoping the Microsoft Santa (while a little late on the draw) will give me a free arcade download, or movie, or something. Really, I don't care too much so long as it's free.
