Savage 2 Released
The sequel to the genre-mixing Savage has been released! Savage 2: A Tortured Soul pits Man against Furry Beast in an RTS/FPS battle to the death with new units, weapons, and spells. The game can be downloaded from the S2 Games site for free, (with a 5 hour demo), and is only a one-time $30 fee for an online account.
For those not familiar with the first game, it plays like a FPS, with the exception of your teams commander, who controls the battle from a top down viewpoint like an RTS, issuing orders to the troops (you). Now lets go whup some beastmen!

Neat-O. I was very much into Savage 1 when it became freeware, but soon found out that despite the depth this kind of game offered, certain imbalances made it a little frustrating. Plus, servers were generally populated by nincumpoops. Now, I may yet have another chance at this very interesting genre mix - providing it'll run on my lappy and fix all the issues I had with 1. Neither of which is all too likely...
