SimCity 2 For DS - Hopefully Better Than The First One
Many fans of SimCity on the DS were left a little disappointed by the overall game experience, but hopefully EA are going to make up for it with the welcome news of SimCity 2 on the DS.
EA Japan have released some information on the second installment in a recent issue of Famitsu and it looks like there's going to be a change of tactics for the second release. After relying on a variety of puzzles and strange games that didn't seem to fit in too well with the original concept of SimCity, Kotaku are stating that SimCity 2 will be more similar in style to Civilization. Apparently it will feature gameplay that focuses on building settlements and villages throughout the ages, from the caveman period right through to the industrial revolution. No word yet on whether you can go into the future and build futuristic sci-fi like buildings as you can on the other SimCity games, but it still sounds like an improvement over the first one.
At present there's no official word from either EA America or EA Europe as to whether it'll be released anywhere other than Japan, but it looks likely since it's such a huge franchise and people will no doubt buy it just to see the improvements over the initial DS version.

Yay! Hopefully this will be more of a real Sim City unlike the first one, it felt like SS: Lite edition.
I hold out a lot of hope for this one, friends.
Excellent! The first one was very dissapointing. Thank god for tradebacks.
