Son: Hey, Dad, Look! Dad: BANG!

It looks like we have our first contender for our 2008 Parent of the Year Award.
James Stanley Niedosik, 60, of Monroe County, Pennsylvania was arrested Friday night after he allegedly shot his son with a .22 rifle following an argument that began after his seventeen-year-old son asked him to look at his Xbox 360. The boy is receiving treatment at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, while I'm sure his pa is "receiving treatment" at the Monroe County Prison as he is held on $250,000 bail on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.
And I thought I had it bad when my father merely feigned interest in my games. In retrospect, it was certainly better than a shot to the head. Ouch!

What do you expect?
The father was probably raised on such Columbine-simulators as pong and tetris.
More proof that video games lead to violence!!
... ;)
That father most likely deserves a loooong sentence. There's obviously no way he meant to shoot his son, but in order to do it even "accidentally" he must have deliberately pointed the gun at his son and put his finger on the trigger. The insanity (so to speak...) of that alone would mean this guy has no business raising a child...
