Stream Media From Mac To PS3

I know there must be a few users out there like myself who have a PS3 and a Mac, and are jealous of the PC to PS3 media streaming programs like TVersity. When I saw it, I knew that it would only be a matter of time until we Mac users would get the same thing. Well, my prayers have been answered with Nullriver's MediaLink software.
MediaLink has seamless integration with iTunes to stream music, movies, and podcasts directly to the PS3. The program uses a convenient drag and drop system to help you organize your media efficiently, and syncs playlists with iTunes. The program also syncs up with iPhoto to view your pictures and slideshows on your television. Tons of formats are supported as well, including: MP3, WMA, WAV, MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4, H.264, AVI, WMV & ASF, DIVX, JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, BMP and more.
A demo is available to download and use for a half an hour at a time, while the full version costs $20 and can be downloaded from the official site. For those of you who have tried out the software, feel free to post your impressions below.

This works really well. I was skeptical at first, because $20 isn't a whole lot, plus I have Leopard (and I've had less than stellar performance on many apps with the new OS). Works like a charm, even streams videos from an external drive.

Since when do half those formats work on the ps3?
Only MP3, WMA(after you access the internet and get permission to play that format), MPEG2, JPEG AND BMP work. And even BMP are a bit iffy.
As taken directly from the PS3 System Software 2.1 Guide:
Audio:
* Memory Stick Audio Format(ATRAC)
* MP3(MPEG-1/2 Audio Layer 3)
* MP4(MPEG-4 AAC)
* WAVE(Linear PCM)
* WMA
Video:
* Memory Stick Video Format
* - MPEG-4 SP (AAC LC)
* - H.264/MPEG-4 AVC Main Profile (AAC LC)
* MP4 file format
* - H.264/MPEG-4 AVC High Profile (AAC LC)
* MPEG-1 (MPEG Audio Layer 2)
* MPEG-2 PS (MPEG2 Audio Layer 2, AAC LC, AC3(Dolby Digital), LPCM)
* MPEG-2 TS (MPEG2 Audio Layer 2)
* AVI
* - Motion JPEG (Linear PCM)
* - Motion JPEG (μ-Law)
* AVCHD (.m2ts / .mts)
* DivX
* WMV
* - VC-1(WMA Standard V2)
Photo:
* JPEG (DCF 2.0/Exif 2.21 compliant)
* TIFF
* BMP
* GIF
* PNG
Of course, there are several caveats as to how the files need to be properly encoded for efficient playback, but that does not entirely negate the system's ability to handle the stated filesets.
huzzah!
