Video: "Documentary" Of WoW Addict
I'm one of those people who always enjoys a good satire. Creations like Borat and The Office make me grin, no matter how many times I watch them because of they way they manage to simultaneously juggle absurdity and plausibility.
However, this video, which is a trailer for a (assumed) mockumentary entitled "sexy 1337 king". It focuses on Athene, who promotes himself as one of the best WoW players in the world. Or something. I'm going to confess my ignorance on Athene's online prowess, though that's because I generally have nothing to do with WoW due to the fact that I don't need any further addictions.
But, regardless of the young man's gaming ability, I'm pretty sure that the documentary itself is nothing more than an elaborate hoax. Still, you know that some senator or a certain lawyer is going to discover this and try to use it as proof of the evil and addictive nature of video games.

Dumb.
Running after people in the street is funny when Mega64 is doing it. This was lame.
It was actually pretty funny when (what I assume was) his original video popped up on the WoW forums. It was just him talking about how he's the best paladin in the world and basically giving an insane lesson on how to PvP.
Everyone, including myself, thought he was serious at first, since his Paladin does exist and was very high rated.
People still think he's serious, and is stillmentioned in random threads. Now that it's confirmed that it's parody... it's kind of genius imo. Not funny when he takes it as far as he does in this clip, but for anyone who knows how [high rated arena] players on WoW forums portray themselves, it's pretty dead-on.
