Wall•E To Short Circuit All Game Platforms

In a move that should surprise exactly no one, THQ has announced plans to release the videogame tie-in to the new Disney/PIxar CGI flick Wall•E on every system known to man. For those of you keeping score, that would include the Xbox 360, the PS3, PS2, PSP, Wii, DS, PC, Mac and "wireless devices" which I take to mean mobile phones. Fun! THQ's got the rights to make games based on the next four Disney/Pixar properties, of which this would be the second (Ratatouille was first). So that's two more films that can be turned into cash-in licensed games! Whee!
The game will be out in the summer of 2008 to coincide with the June 27 release of the film (obviously), which has something to do about a waste disposal robot being the last creature on Earth, and his adventures as humanity comes back to reclaim the planet. Being a Pixar film, naturally, hilarity ensues. And full of celebrity voicework, of course. Of course, the robot looks to me like the annoying creation from Short Circuit, so if I ever see this movie, I'm going to spend the whole 90 minutes wondering when Ally Sheedy is going to show up...
