Celebrate All Year Long With NiGHTS

Do you own NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams for the Wii? Are you a big fan of holidays? Boy, are you in luck. Sega just revealed to 1up that using the Wii's calendar, players of the game can expect their A-LIFE Nightopians to celebrate real life holidays like Chinese New Year, Halloween, and the not-as-fun-as-it-sounds Boys' Festival. Christmas seems especially festive for the Nightopians, and you've only got 11 more months to wait if you missed it last December. See the full list at the link below. If you're impatient and just need to see all of the holidays right now, turn off the Wii's Wi-Fi connection and play around with the system's calendar, although that might put a lot of strain on those poor Nightopians who already have to deal with the fact that their God is some purple flying clown thing.
Other games have tried something like this - Animal Crossing for one - but it seems NiGHTS is pretty committed to an entire year of events. It would be great if more games tried something like this, with more obscure holidays, like World Puppetry Day or Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day.
