Eternity's Child Coming to WiiWare Later This Year

ecwiiware.jpg

Luc Benard's attractive platformer Eternity's Child will see release as part of the WiiWare service sometime in the 2nd quarter of this year. We knew the game was coming after it had moved production from XBLA to the Wii, but this is the first official word of the game hitting Nintendo's original game download channel rather than a retail disk. It makes sense, although there is some reason to be concerned about file size; the original game left XBLA due to exceeding the 150 MB file size limit, whereas the Wii only has 512 MB of storage total, and some reports have pegged the maximum file size for WiiWare games at 40 MB. The price is also new information - 500 Wii Points, or $5 for all of you who still prefer to think about money in old fashioned, analog terms.

Additionally, Benard recently gave an interview about the game, and the upcoming DS version, to N-Europe. He talks a little more about the story-line, and reveals that a 2 player co-op mode is planned. Will player 2 be able to control the openly gay character that he revealed to us last year? One can hope.
