Famitsu Reveals More Street Fighter IV

chunkyli.jpg

Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has revealed a ton of new Street Fighter IV character art and screenshots on their website. Everything looks to be coming along quite nicely although I do have a bit of an issue with the new Chun Li character design. Holy cow does she look... large. Not like fat but BIG. If I didn't know better I would swear they got her steroid ridden brother to stand in for her. I've seen drag queens with less bulk! Perhaps I have just been watching too much Project Runway, but I'll let you decide for yourself. Chun Li or Chunky Li?

There's defenitly something wrong with her forearms and hands. She looks like she could crush heads with those.

I thought in a interview with EGM they said they were doing away with big thigh Chun-Li. WTF

Ariel said:

Could be the camera angle or an early model, but I certainly hope those are not Chun-Li's forearms and hands in the release version.

wow I wouldn't like to get happy slapped with those things lol

Keep the legs, lose the manhands.

The hands and arms are waay mannish. Kind of diminishes her appeal, which for me was all about the contrast with the beefy guys. Not only that, but shouldn't her outfit have been upgraded to next-gen standards? Shouldn't her nipples barely be covered by the slimmest of straps possible and her nethers by the most miniscule of triangular patches of virtual cloth?

For shame I say.

I think that she may even have a bulge... do you see it?

Tim said:

Tran-Li?

TmmTx said:

Wow, so that's what Ryu looks like in drag!

SkorpyoBrat said:

That bulge illusion is just a fold in her apron-thing as it flaps in the wind. Deja vu much?

I think it's awesome. it's nice to see a girl fighter who looks like she can beat the crap out of you.

I would like to see her with some toned down arms as well, it looks like she could even give Ehonda a rough time.

Chun-Li has always been a bit on the beefy side, but then again, the Street Fighter girls have never been mavens of anorexia; even with her petite frame, Cammy was always well-defined.

For Chun-Li, I think they should go back to her proportions from the Alpha/Zero-series days. She was muscle-bound there, as well, but she was at least balanced. Even her Street Fighter III incarnation, with its Huge Thighs of Death (HTD(tm)) was more proportionate that this. So far, SFIV Chun-Li seems to be suffering from some kind of gigantism.

Oh come on, she looks awesome. It's not like the males in this game look normal either.

I think a better question is why is her head so small?

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
