GDC 08: PlayStation Store In The Palm Of Your Hand

In the beginning, there was the PlayStation Store. And it had PS1 classics you could download and play on your PSP. Awesome. But there was a catch. At the time, it was only accessible through the PlayStation 3, which not everyone had. Then Sony made it possible to access the PlayStation Store on the PC, download the games and transfer them over with a USB cable. However, that still didn't work for me, because I have a Mac and the downloader only works on PCs.
But according to Sony's Chris Eden, soon the PlayStation Store will be available directly through the PSP itself! Revealed at GDC, PSP owners will finally be able to cut out the middleman and just jump on a convenient WiFi signal to browse the PlayStation Store and download games directly to the PSP's memory stick. It's about time! Well, of course, there's been no announcement when this feature will be made available, but let's hope it's soon. We've waited long enough, and I want to get my Jumping Flash on!

The fact that they use a downloader instead of just letting you download a file is crap. No, Sony, I do not want your crappy software on my PC, let me download a file and move it myself. >,>
Um, fillerbunny... isn't the point that now you don't have to?
Yeah!!! Jumping Flash! That was the first game I ever owned for the original PlayStation, and I had to get it when I got my PS3. It's still a roller coaster of fun.
it would be, if you didn't need to navigate this whole mess via WiFi. it's a step in the right direction to be sure.
I wonder if it will scan your firmware and people with hacked PSPs will get banned?
