N-Gage Baby Pictures and Demo
I kinda feel about the same way I feel when someone shows me pictures of an ugly baby. You smile and make uncomfortable "Oh... how... cute" style comments when secretly you want to tell them to please home school. N-Gage has been a rather amusing attempt to bring mainstream gaming to the cellphone community. While I don't think it's entirely a bad idea to keep all my mobile devices in one convenient package, I don't think that Nokia is going to be the company to do it. Thankfully, they've all but given up on trying.
Nokia released the N-Gage First Look today, a preview release of their new N-Gage platform. Rather than create a single platform capable of running their mobile software, they've decided to create a Dashboard style system when players can use on any compatible Symbian based phone (Nokia's proprietary smartphone OS).
When I say that it looks like dash board, I'm not joking. It's like they took some whiteout and a sharpie to a Xbox Live gamer tag. Seriously. No points for ingenuity, but hey, the system works so why not steal it. I wish Nintendo would have done the same thing for the Wii.
The download is free, so those of you still running a compatible phone can try it out.

Wow, that was blatant. I was wondering if I was seeing a XBL gamer card or something.
Something tells me its not going to look like that for long.
