PAIN Gets An Expansion Pack Today

PAIN is the Havok physics-based sandbox destruction extravaganza that was released on the PSN a while back. The game is terrifically fun with three modes of play, Sandbox, Mime Toss, and Spank the Monkey. Unfortunately it only shipped with one level, and one available character. Three more characters have been available for pay-per-download, but no level expansions have been posted to the PSN. Now there's word of an expansion to be available later today, and we can only hope that there will be another level to destroy.
I've been enjoying the game, specifically the replay feature where you can set up a free-roaming camera to catch the action from a different perspective. It's really funny to set up the camera inside of a shop and watch your character come flying through the window at you. Let's hope for another landscape to tear apart.

That looks like it could be fun. Almost makes me wish I had a PS3.
There's a TV show based on the book jPod here in Canada, and the fake game they're always working on looks a lot like this.
This game is a blast. If they added another environment (my only complaint about the original) I'd be happy as a little girl. A game where you can fling a guy nut-first into a telephone pole? Forgetaboutit!
