Rumor: Stream Netflix Movies Onto Your Console?
So it seems Netflix sent out a survey to some of their members (not me!) where one of the questions asked if the user would be interested in streaming movies on their Xbox 360s or PS3s. This, naturally, started the interwebs speculating that the popular online movie rental service would be expanding their streaming video on demand service onto the consoles.
I've been a happy member of Netflix for many years now, but I've never bothered with their streaming videos. Mostly because I'd rather watch it on my couch on my HDTV, and because I just sort of always assumed the system wouldn't work on a Mac. Of course, I'm not sure how Microsoft will feel about this idea, as it kind of conflicts with their Xbox LIVE Marketplace movie rentals. We'll just have to see whether or not this rumor pans out.
