Video: See PS3's PlayTV In Shakeyvision
One very lucky BBC news reporter got some quality time with the much-coveted PlayTV for the PS3. The device allows you to connect your cable signal to the PS3, and use your system to view and record upcoming programs. It's essentially a souped up cable box, with nifty menus, and recording features. The main menu looks very Mac inspired where it rotates on a wheel above a reflective surface. Nicely done.
Combine this interface with the Remote Play features of the PSP, and you can stream live broadcasts directly to the handheld. You can even access all of the recording features and set your home console to record upcoming programs. I am green with envy over this slim little black device, too bad I don't live in the UK. Hopefully Sony will be bringing this beauty to our side of the great big drink.
