Surfer Girl Teases PS3's Greatest Hits, Xbox360 With Wi-Fi
Mystery mistress of the sea Surfer Girl has a slew of new reports this weekend, and topping the list are rumors that Microsoft will be introducing an Xbox360 with Wi-Fi capability before the end of the year. Hopefully that will also mean a price drop for the current Wi-Fi adaptor, which currently hovers around a gouge-tastic $100.
Also on her list is news that Sony of America will launch a PS3 greatest hits line before too long, including Warhawk, Motorstorm, and Resistance: Fall of Man. No word on whether the price will be last gen's standard of $19.99 or the current budget price standard of $29. Sony Japan just announced it's own budget line, and those titles are priced at 3800 yen, or about $35. She then gets a little Perez Hilton with the news that someone from a long running Fox network soap is or was dating someone at an LA Game Studio. OMG yawn!
In addition to praise for the PSP version of Fl0w (maybe due later this month) and news about many, many Guitar Heroses, she mentions that Microsoft has paid big bucks in an exclusivity deal for a high profile sequel, "despite knowing nothing about it (aside from the title) [and the] team behind the original is not really doing the sequel." Hmm, any guesses? Sounds to me like maybe PS3 owners shouldn't expect Bioshock 2 anytime soon, although I'm sure a ton of other games fit those clues.
