As much as this seems entirely outlandish, an advertisement appeared today in a entertainment industry classifieds website, StarNow UK, soliciting articles on how video games inspired you toward a life of crime. Yes, you too can now make a handsome sum for your personal tale of woe and dread for how a video game sparked your criminal career.
A national newspaper wants your story and will pay hundreds of pounds to the right person.
Write a few lines about how computer games turned you to crime and if it's something we like, we'll call you straight back.
With any luck, this will end up leading as nothing more than another human interest story. At the least, I can only hope that the mysterious major news outlet cited will attempt to legitimize any claims before running rampant with them.

So optimistic of you; I hope you are right. I somehow doubt facts can get in the way of an anti-gaming story but there is always the chance of a news organization leading with fact versus following the crowd.
Videogames killed my father, and raped my mother
This clearly is an attempt to find a poster boy or girl for the "videogames are destroying society" crowd.
I wouldn't recommend anyone applies without seriously considering that any small fee would be miniscule compensation for having every aspect of their life scrutinized and being universally reviled by the universal gaming community.
