Dreamfall On The 360: Adventure Awesomeness At Last

I'm extremely pleased to report that Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, a fabulous adventure game with a kind of tangentially-gay-appeal, is coming to the Xbox 360 under the 1200 Microsoft Point guise of an Xbox Original. This multiple E3 award-winning game is the sequel to the also-fabulous The Longest Journey and continues that game's theme of pitting creative independent young women against impossibly surreal odds.
The PC version of the game was terribly easy on the eyes, and adventure games are few and far between these days - let alone on the 360. So look for more April Ryan this April, 17, for download on XBLM, or read on for more details

Dreamfall: Game of the Year Edition, winner of multiple E3 awards as the best game in its genre, is the continuation of a saga that began with the award-winning The Longest Journey. In Dreamfall, prepare for an epic journey of exploration and adventure as you venture through a thrilling and emotional story line.
Dreamfall features a fully interactive world where beautiful music, stunning graphics, fascinating characters, and unparalleled gameplay variety promises to bring the adventure genre into a new era. Prepare for a spiritual, fantastic, and powerful gaming experience.
• Unparalleled variety: Use your brains or your brawn--sneak, fight, or talk your way through the many challenges the game offers. Be polite or rude, threaten or sweet talk--in Dreamfall you make the choice, resulting in a game where you never quite know what to expect next.
• Three characters: Experience the story from three separate perspectives, and learn how their destinies blend together in an epic finale. Each character has unique abilities and world views, giving you constant gameplay variations.
• Three worlds: Dreamfall spans three beautifully realized worlds, multiple chapters, and a stunning number of detailed locations. Travel across a futuristic version of our earth, journey into a magical fantasy realm, and unravel the mysteries of the Winter.
• Unique interaction: Bridging the gap between the classic "point and click" adventure game (where you could click on any given point at the screen) and the action adventure (where you need to move up to an object to interact with it), Dreamfall introduces the brand new focus field feature. In this easy-to-use context-sensitive interface, scan your entire visible environment as seen by the characters, and use it to get information on far away objects and trigger remote gameplay opportunities.
• Thrilling story line: Dreamfall delivers a mature and compelling story line that mixes the futuristic, fantastic, and spiritual with a tale of murder, deceit, and a conspiracy threatening our very existence. Bringing the classic adventure game into the world of the modern action game, Dreamfall is a rare and special story experience.
• Stunning sounds: Listen to an emotional and epic soundtrack in 7.1 Surround Sound. Hear gripping voices as recorded by more than 50 professional actors, and enjoy soundscapes bringing you to the edge of your seat. The MTV nominated soundtrack brings you an emotional and epic musical journey in 5.1 surround sound.
• Wide-ranging appeal: With its cinematic approach, believable characters, mature story line, and easy-to-grasp interface, Dreamfall is a game that any mature gamer can pick up and enjoy, regardless of their gaming background.
• Awards: "Dreamfall received a tremendous amount of awards and award nominations when it was released, including major awards from the likes of IGN, Gamespot and Gamespy. The readers of Gamespot heralded Dreamfall with their Readers Choice Award as the "Best Xbox Game of the Year."

Oh good, I've been wanting to play this for forever. I should've picked it up when it came out, oh well. At least I'll finally be able to get it without leaving the house, or purchasing a PC.
What's the ratio of "MS fun bucks" to real money again? 1200 sounds cheaper than how much it would cost to track down a hardcopy of the game, but I could be wrong. I may pick this up since it sounds pretty good.
This was a fantastic game on PC. Hopefully the extra exposure via X-Box will get everyone a third installment to finish off the story.
Was this the game that sort of starts off in India? It was good if that's the game.
In Casablanca I seem to recall.
I loved this game. Alas my copy dissappeared :D
My roommate bugged me saying it was boring, he called it "Talking: The Game" meh. Doesn't know a good story when he sees one
The 'game' wasn't great. It suffered from bad controls (on the PC) and stiff character animation. But the presentation and storyline was fantastic! Especially if you played the first game and followed the whole storyline back then. It still doesn't answer everything, so I'm still waiting on the third story if it ever gets released.
The PC version came with a CD soundtrack. You can also download the soundtrack for the first game on 'The Longest Journey' website.
I kind of hated this game. Give me a 2D 1990s PC adventure game any day.
