- GayGamer.net bid farewell to two beloved writers, Boy of Tomorrow and Gadget Girl, who are both off on more academic pursuits. After we closed those doors, MrMog flew in a window and we welcomed him as our new contributor.
- We're still interested in adding a San Francisco based writer to the team, but get those applications into info@gaygamer.net ASAP.
- We learned that the long begged for in-game Cross Media Bar (XMB) for the PS3 should be hitting the console via an update this summer, if not sooner.
- British politicians: Just like American politicians, but with charming accents.
- The insatiable Hidea Kojima wants it bigger.
- Bully: Scholarship Edition was released for the Xbox 360 and the Wii, with the former version including a special achievement for doing what most of our readers just do naturally.
- Sadly, the Xbox version of Bully was hit with accusations of bugs and freezes. Luckily Rockstar has promised that the situation should be resolved soon. Stay tuned for more information as we get it.
- Dungeons and Dragons creator Gary Gygax passed away at the age of 69.
- Mario and Sonic at the Olympics passed the 5 million sold mark, because people apparently want to see hedgehogs and plumbers compete for medals. If the real Olympics bombs this year, expect officials to replace some of the smaller countries with teams of giant animals and ethnic stereotypes.
- Expect to play Spore on your iPhone.
- Speaking of gaming on a phone, is this what the rumored PSPhone will look like?
- Microsoft and Sony (and Apple) had a little chat about Blu Ray. Then maybe they went shopping for some cute shoes.
- Toots provided some impressions of the short PSP demo for Echochrome, and SuperSpecialDavey gave us his first thoughts about Dynasty Warriors 6.
- Lastly, the small niche title Super Smash Bros. Brawl was released to a largely indifferent public, but some people had some problems that require shipping your Wii back to Nintendo for some TLC. Those of you playing the game and looking for online challengers, check out the comments in that post for friend codes, or visit this thread in the forum (registration required).
And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
