Japanese MGS4 Bundle Already Sold Out
The launch my still be a few months away, but the Japanese Konami webpage is showing that the Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots PS3 bundle is already sold out! Pretty impressive for a pre-order of that price. Looks like the PS3 may well have found its system seller. I'll be curious to see how this pans out in the North American and European markets as well.

According to the manager of a local gamestore around where I live, this bundle won't see a European release.
Don't know whether I should believe him though.
I'm tempted to buy the 40gig Ratchet & clank/Drake's Fortune bundle and replace the 40gig hardrive with a larger one (which again, according to him you can do).
A: You CAN replace the HD with any laptop HD, it's pretty easy to do and there are all sorts of instructions on the internetz, but if your 40 gig is like our 40 gig here in the US, it'll have no removable memory slots (for SD cards and what have you), and no backwards compatibility features.
B: A bundle with Ratchet & Clank AND Drake's Fortune in it? I am just green with jealous rage! The closest we have is... nothing! Nothing comes with our PS3 anymore. And before that our choices were "meh" game with the 80 gig (Motorstorm) and turrible movie with the 40 (Spider-Man 3).
Up to how high do there laptop HDs go?
I'm really thinking about just going for the bundle I mentioned, since I'm keeping my PS2 around for imports and PSX/2 games anyway and I don't think I really need the memory slots. I just want a bigger HD so I'm not in danger if I download lots of games and demos and stuff.
Weird, I thought MGS wasn't really that much of a draw for Japanese gamers.
