Stop! Don't think about buying that 360 just yet (that is if you haven't already), all you GGer's in Europeland! There's changes afoot that your wallet will thank you for later if you can hold out for just a couple of days longer...

From Friday, 14th March, Xbox 360, which includes a 20GB hard drive and one wireless controller, will have an ERP of €269.99/£199.99 - a saving of €80/£50 on the current ERP. The Xbox 360 Elite, which comes with a massive 120GB hard drive enabling consumers to store huge quantities of content downloaded from Xbox LIVE™ Marketplace as well as their own music, will have an ERP of €369.99/£259.99 - a saving of €80/£40. The Xbox 360 Arcade console, perfect for those wishing to make their first foray into the gaming and entertainment world of Xbox, will have an ERP of €199.99/£159.99 - a saving of €80/£20.
For those wondering, the current pound is equal to around $2US or AUS, so I can see that's definitely a huge saving, mostly likely decided in an attempt to keep up with it's competitor, the Nintendo Wii, currently the cheapest home console in the market at the moment. It would be nice to see game prices being cut as well (they are pretty pricey in PAL regions), but baby steps. Your going in the right direction Microsoft!
So unless you have the sudden urge to play Gears of War or Halo 3, I say your better off waiting for a couple of days. Now let's hope Sony will follow their example...

yeah, just factor in the added expenses of wi-fi hardware and network (both free on other consoles ...and handhelds too!) and the price is certainly not so tempting. A desperate attempt to revive dismal sales here in Europe. If it weren't, the drop would be global, no?
Btw, I'm VERY taken too.. I'm happily married - surely that's like THE MOST TAKEN EVAR!!!! We rock theatre sound too, only we've got a rare Panasonic Q Gamecube under the 42'' telly, as well as limited edition white Gamecube, Dreamcast, Japanese Wii etc. Do I get Look-At-Me points too? lol you do come across as a douche.. i mean, fancy posting pics pointing out which speaker is left / right. We understand speakers too, you know.
I don't have a fancy-shmancy sound system, but I do have an armored blimp that I fly around the world in...its got those big, serrated fins and its painted to look like a shark. Also, a magic wishing-imp in a bottle, and shoulder-mounted rocket launchers (first wish from the imp).
The games itself are soooo expensive, that is right!
