PSP Fanboy Presents The 20 Final Fantasy Characters They Want In Dissidia
Only a few members of the line-up for Square-Enix's upcoming mascot fighter Dissidia: Final Fantasy have managed to leak out, and most of them have been limited to the obvious choices such as the main heroes and villains from the Final Fantasy series. What has been missing is confirmation that some of the fan-favorite supporting characters will make it into the mix. Not ones to wait for press releases and trailers, the hopeful writers at PSP Fanboy has gone ahead and compiled a list of their most wanted supporting characters for the game, as well as how their fighting styles could be integrated into the game.
As they state in the introduction to the piece, they've limited the list to characters from the main FF titles, so no Tactics or other spin-off characters. Also, they're working under the assumption that most of the main characters, like Cloud, will end up in the game even if they haven't been announced yet. While there aren't too many obscure characters on it, the list is a pretty in-depth piece done by people who have obviously played a lot of Final Fantasy over the years, which I can only assume is the game's intended audience.

Zell should be on there.
I can get Rinoa, I'd want her in there as well.
But Seifer is a carboncopy of Squall with another personality. And he's a bastard to boot.
They'll already have a few dozen sword users. A fistfighter would provide some variety.
Bleh, #1 is total bullcrap (that one's overrated, anyway). I love how Gilgamesh is on there, though.^_^
I think that list is nothing but a compilation of fan favorites. It's not a bad thing per se, but there are only few characters that would actually bring something interesting into the mix (like Palom & Porom and Mog).
Although not much has been revealed about the game yet, I have a bad feeling that Dissidia won't be anything special as a fighting game. There just doesn't seem to be enough variety in the character roster to get people hooked up to it for very long. Let alone a believable story to tie them all together.
Tifa is like 99% certain to be in the game anyway, so her being on the list at all, let alone #1, is a cop-out.
My vote is for the FFVI versions of Biggs and Wedge.
