Rumor: New Skies Of Arcadia, NiGHTS At Sega Gamer's Day
German Sega fansite Sega On is reporting that at their upcoming Gamer's Day, Sega is set to unveil a few new titles, including a sequel to their Dreamcast/Gamecube pirate RPG Skies of Arcadia and a new entry in the NiGHTS series. Although NiGHTS just saw an entry on the Wii late last year, reaction to the title was mixed. Skies of Arcadia, known as Eternal Arcadia in Japan, has a long history of rumored sequels. Maybe this year we'll actually see some truth to them, or maybe we'll just be disappointed again.
In addition to a trailer for the just confirmed Sonic Unleashed, the list also purports that gamers will get their first look at Silicon Knights' The Crucible: The Evil Within, as well as the espionage RPG Alpha Protocol. All in all, the list is pretty promising. I'm a bit perturbed at the lack of anything about third entries in the Shenmue, Jet Set Radio, or Space Channel 5 series, but I'd definitely be up for some more sky pirating. Sega Gamer's Day is scheduled for this May, so expect more information then.

I have my DC displayed proudly on the top tier of my shelves next to the TV. I still play Jet Grind Radio and Space Channel 5 weekly. *daydreams*
I heard somewhere that Yu Suzuki has said there will be no more proper Shenmue games, as in part of the series. I don't know how much truth can be put in this, but thats what I read. I liked the first one but unfortunately never played the sequel.
I loved Skies & would love if they made a sequel. I wonder which system they're targeting?

There are plenty of reasons we're never going to see another SPC5. UGA is over, Miz is gone, Lady Keir Lawsuit, etc...
I think it's sad that we're not seeing a Wii Panzer Dragoon, PS360 Shenmue, PSP Jet Grind Radio, or DS Space Harrier. Knowing Sega's past efforts I would expect to hear about a Virttua Cop Collection for Wii.
Skies of Arcadia is great! Would love to see a version for PS3 come out.
