Rumorama: More PSP-3000 Evidence?

Sony's no stranger to accidental cross-referencing leaks, with firmware updates often tipping the hat to future updates, features, and even hardware. Rumors of a third PSP hardware update first surfaced last December, when hackers discovered suggestive bits in the PSP 3.80 firmware update.
Now a 65x13 GIF file found within the PSP online manual adds further weight to the argument in favor of the future existence of a PSP-3000 model. Of course, with a proposed ten year life cycle, another hardware update is hardly a shocker - nor is there any indication that a new PSP will come anytime soon.
But the fact that assets exist, even only 715 pixels worth of assets, do seem to suggest that someone over at Sony is thinking ahead: but how far?

Damnit, just when I was looking at getting one of the slim PSPs this happens!
I am totally a manufacturer's wet dream when it comes to this. Despite buying the original PSP, and after upgrading to the PSP-2000, I would be very likely to upgrade to the 3000 in a heartbeat.
Yeah, like I said, manufacturer's wet dream.
