Sega Wants To Know: Do You Still Own A Dreamcast?

Sega of Japan recently updated their Dreamcast.com page with the intriguing question, "Do you still own a Dreamcast?" While the link is currently broken (apparently due to massive numbers of people who were trying to answer, "Yes, yes I do."), earlier users claim the site asked you to input your console's serial number and register for a user.dreamcast.com email address. No other information appears on the page, but a good guess ties this into 10th anniversary celebrations for the console, which was first introduced in Japan November 1998. Not-quite-as-good guesses involve Sega introducing a new console or handheld into the already overcrowded market.
I still have my Dreamcast hooked up in my bedroom, although I haven't played it a rather long time - I should give it a spin and make sure dust hasn't killed the thing yet. Personally I'd love to see a "Dreamcast Classics" line appear on one of the current gen's consoles, e.g. Rez HD on XBLA. Jet Grind Radio in high definition and 5.1? Shenmue with extra kitten petting? Heaven.

I like Pen Pen triathalon Racing lol XD
I have 3 dreamcasts, all of them working, love the system lots of potential, but sadly it died early in its career just like Heath Ledger, oh my heart it bleeding.... ugh.
I still have mine. My friend borrowed it to play the Berserk game.
If you don't still own a Dreamcast, or never owned one, you cannot legitimately call yourself a gamer.
Mine is still hooked to my HDTV via VGA and there are still regular Marvel vs Capcom 2 nights on it.
Hell yes I still have my DC. I may not play it anymore but thinking about all the time playing Soul Calibur and PSO bring a grin to my face.
I have 2 dreamcasts I was just playing it last month for Grandia II ^^
Dreamcast 2 is coming lol.
I do too! It's hooked on my gaming HDTV (32" LCD) via VGA. I play Crazy Taxi and Wetrix every once in a while, when I have time to kill.
Dreamcast 2 ? I'd buy that in instant :)
My dad, being desperate for cash one day, sold mine off. When I came home to visit my relatives after a while, I had planned on taking it home with me. Sometimes I want to hurt that man.
I, too, sold mine just before moving to Texas. I regret it at this point, but at least I know the two neighbor boys that bought it at our garage sale knew that they hit the jackpot.
My Dreamcast, two VMU's, two controllers and 12 retail games for $40. The stupid shit I do on impulse.
I love seeing dreamcast love!
I got one when they first came out since my sister worked for sega back then (now she works at EA), and it's still my favorite console to date. I play it at least once every two days or so, and recently I became friends with someone who happens to have a huge dramcast library, so I've been playing even more recently.
There's also a Game Trader near where I live, and some of the guys there are huge DC enthusiasts, so going out there is always worth it :}
I love my DC not only for the fun games on it, but also for being my only free console.
I basically got it together with a controller, a VMU and about 6-7 so-so games from my twinsister's ex-boyfriend when they were still together. He didn't need them anymore, so he gave them to me. Ha!
Of course this was a while after the fall of the DC, but I still managed to find some great games for it in certain stores and at a con here.
i have one... a broken one... for like 5 years... which I may add that no retailer wish to fix...
I need my rival school fix...
My Dreamcast...still hooked up, still played, still loved!!!
Hey Tex, ask Timsy to hook you up with the local retro gaming store here in Austin. It's got a crazy amount of Dreamcast equipment and games. And yes, I too still have my DC, Seaman for the odd win!
My Dreamcast is still out in my living room all hooked up. I have an ungodly amount of hours on PSO and such.
Actually i was 15 when it came out and i have gotten a summer job at a fruit stand to pay for it. When i went to pay for it i pulled out a large wad of cash and bought that baby. I loved the look on everyone's faces.
Um, that turned out to be a scam to get people's info. Sega no longer owns Dreamcast.com.
