Street Fighter Film Cast Announced, Confirmed
Capcom have announced the main cast for the upcoming Street Fighter film adaptation. You may remember a while back when we told you Kristin Kruek would be playing Chun-Li. Now we have names attached to Balrog, M. Bison, Vega and Charlie Nash. So far, the cast consists of the following thespians:
- Chun-Li: Kristin Kreuk. Plays the role of Lana Lang in the WB television series Smallville .
- Balrog: Michael Clarke Duncan. The Island (2005), Sin City (2005), Daredevil (2003), The Scorpion King (2002), Planet of the Apes (2001), See Spot Run (2001), The Whole Nine Yards (2000), The Green Mile (1999), Breakfast of Champions (1999), Armageddon (1998)
- M. Bison: Neal McDonough. The Hitcher (2007), Flags of Our Fathers (2006), The Guardian (2006), Timeline (2003), MinorityReport (2002), Band of Brothers (2001)
- Vega: Taboo. Member of popular R&B music group Black Eyed Peas and recipient of three Grammy Awards.
- Charlie Nash: Chris Klein. We Were Soldiers (2002), American Pie (1999)
We'll have to play the waiting game to see how this mix of cast members work out together in the finished product. Is there anyone you think who would be better suited for these roles? Let us know in the comments.

It appears that I'll the only one looking forward to an update for the worst fighting game ever created... Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game 2k9 edition!
Wow! I'm incredibly happy that 2009 will be full of such incredible talent and production values with Dragonball Z and this movie opening up.
And OMG that picture of Chun Li is the stuff of nightmares!!!!
ugh...... and lets guess, it's filmed all in canada with a production budget of 20 million. And lets guess again, there will be a movie trailer with the music of disturbed, so that when Chun Li kicks a guy the guy does the whole WOWAKAKAKA..... please hand me the paint thiner as I try to kill the brain cells to not remember this tripe....... sigh.... just imagine me passed out in the alley of France saying "Sigh, my love of street fighter alpha was such a long time ago, sniff sniff"
Don't forget the announced Akira movie(s) jonostarsmore. Probably not for 2009, but deserving to be mentioned along with these other steaming piles of craptacular 'movies'.
Personal note: as the token straight guy who visits the site - thank you for the shot of Chun Li ;).
I'm going to keep an open mind about it. I mean there's no way it can be worse than mortal kombat annihilation......hopefully.
