Street Fighter IV Welcomes El Fuerte!

Another new character has been announced by Capcom for Street Fighter IV. Say hello to El Fuerte, a Mexican wrestler who fights in the Lucha Libre style. According to his bio, his love of wrestling is matched only by his love of gourmet cooking. A guy who likes to wear tights, wrestle men and cook... hmm sounds like my ex-boyfriend.
Now... Fight a New Rival! [Capcom]

Sounds more like my future ex-boyfriend.
"El Fuerte"????? santo dios, estos tipos son tan poco originales....
"The Strong" or "The Strong One", yep, thats original..
You know aparently it is truth, Street Fighter producers have no idea how to create a character that isn't a stupid stereotipe.
I actually like him.
And he's hardly proven himself to be a "stupid stereotype" yet. He's already a huge step up from that lumbering Aztec in a vest and feathered headpiece with an indeterminate fighting style.
Oh Zangief, take off that silly mask, would you?
El Hijo Del Santo will be spinning over in his grave, he's got a much bigger physique than anyone whose actually ever wrestled Lucha. Proper lucha not the Hector Guerrera hybrid style.
I don't see a tea drinking Englishman who hurls flaming crumpets at his opponents... yet. or a Caber tossing Scotsman, or a well you know for Wales :).
At least stereotype my home country, then I might care.
These crazy foreigners and their slight differences to myself really make my blood boil, it's sick and wrong, and morally unacceptable. etc.
El no es el fuerte! Yo soy el fuerte! Fuerte y guapo!
Sorry, am I the only one who thinks it looks like he has a cock sock on?
Zangief and El Fuerte sitting in a tree...
I can still dream...
@Steven
no, no your not...
@Steven - nope, I saw that too.
Does anyone else think that the buff Mexican wrestler dude thing is just hot? Makes me want to get the game for eye candy!
@ Steve - No not the only one...
@ Morrigan - La neta se nota que esta horrible el personaje
The only ever descent Mexican in a fighting game that isn't a BIG stereotype is Ramon from the King of Fighters... He's fighting type might be wresetling, but at least he isn't a masked luchador.
I really never understood how the hell T. Hawk was conseried a mexican... i've never seen a Native American stereotype like that in Mexico... but it doesn't matter there will always be stereotypes and innacuracies in video games...
Earthquake from Samurai Showdown is Mexican... curiously he was from Texas, the game was set in the late 18th century (1701-1800) that's b4 the independence of Texas in 1836 or the annexation in 1845... Although the game marks the place as the USA... it wasn't the US at that time :p... innacuracies
So let us just tolerate "El Fuerte" and his many fighting moves like the "Rancid Frijoles", "The pulvericing Wetback", "The illegal Immigrant Jump" and his desperation move "the Gringo Crusher"
