The Little WiiFit Board That Can: WiiFit Weight Limit Revealed
The answer to the question on alot of people's minds regarding Nintendo's upcoming 'non-game' Wii Fit has finally been revealed: How much abuse can that tiny white board take?
The answer my friends, according to gaming blog Vooks while inspecting Australian packaging shots released by Nintendo yesterday, is a generous 150kg (around 330 pounds for those who don't subscribe to the metric system). This is roughly 14kg more than the 136kg (300 pounds) limit on the Japanese board. Apparently they see us as fatter, but not that fat, which is pretty much true. And I don't think I've seen anybody over 150kgs that would be remotely interested in Nintendo's nifty piece of exercise equipment.
It should also be noted that this is for the Australian, and presumably UK versions, so expect for possibly an even larger capacity board for the US, a nation of obesity and fast food (from what I've heard down here in Aussieland).

I went out and bought a new bathroom scale last week.
My old one only went up to 300 lbs, the new one goes up to 330 lbs. I could not find a mechanical bathroom scale that had a lower max.
It would be interesting to see what the 'MAX" has been on basic bathroom scales over the years. I wonder if it has creeped up...
While its definitely true that the United States is a rather large nation, the UK is actually the fattest nation in the world. Therefore, I would expect the Aussie/UK board to have an equal or greater weight limit than the US one.
I was over 300 pounds for some time a few years ago, and actually found the reverse to be true when shopping for a scale. But yeah, they all seem to be 330 to 400 now.
Na MuddBstrd, thats poppycock. The WHO classes the fattest nation in the world to be Nauru, US is 9th, UK a paltry 28th (based on percentage of population with a BMI >30, the clinical definition for obese).
Lets wait and see how big the weight limit needs to be on American boards *peers into crystal ball* I give it 2 weeks before someone sues Nintendo for not injuries relating to the board snapping under their weight. (jibe at litigious nature of yanks, not weight)
