Video: Etrian Odyssey II Video And Release Date
That's right! The map-drawing, old-school first-person RPG gets released in America on June 17th! The full title will be Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard, and will feature over 100 sidequests, 12 classes (up from 9 in the original game), and new map-making tools.
For those unfamiliar, in the Etrian Odyssey games you delve into a dungeon with a party of explorers seeking loot and monsters, mapping your way as you go. Don't make a good map, and you will get lost. It's a bit grindy compared to many current RPGs, but as your party gains experience, good use of skills in combination with other party members becomes critical, and this is where it becomes addicting.
You can check out more screenshots, downloads, and character class profiles at the official Atlus site.

If it's easier than the first one, I'd be willing to look at it. The first one was too difficult to even be fun.
I doubt it. This is traditional hardcore dungeon crawler.
I found the first game a lot of fun. Yes, it starts out difficult, but once you familiaze yourself with the class and enemies strengths/weaknesses, it becomes easy. It is one of those games where you need to know what you are up against instead of just slashing through everything using brute force.
I prefer Japanese RPG personally, but this one was still fun and a bit of a challenge.
