Video: Wii TV Guide Channel In Action

I'm with Timsy, getting our hands on the Wii TV Guide Channel would be hella sweet. Maybe not exactly useful, but pretty nifty. But since we're not likely to see it stateside any time soon - or ever - this video of the TV Guide in action will have to suffice.

So now Nintendo's making the Wii TV friendly - but still no DVD player? I'm confused.

During his session at GDC, Takashi Aoyama mentioned that this is currently being planned for a US release, but it taking more time because of how "television works differently in the United States." I'm guessing that is talking about how channels vary from one cable provider to another. I'm aware that Nintendo's eventually can mean anything between next month to never, but it's something.

In the dream feature category, I would *kill* for it to have ability to talk with my Tivo box.

Maybe I'm dumb, but I don't get why this feature is a big deal here in Japan, either. My TV already has a TV guide in it...
