Video: WiiMote On A Cell Phone, Usefulness Questionable
Everyone who has ever played a game on a cellphone knows that it is somewhere between unbearable and water boarding. Unresponsive or spongy controls and lack luster shovelware titles pretty much control the platform, and unless you like turn based titles, don't expect to get much enjoyment out of them.
Now, I don't know who created MobiTap, but it's an interesting step for cellular gaming. This piece of software allows users to attach a WiiMote to a UIQ based cellular phone (popular among Motorola and Sony-Ericsson brands) and control the interface with it. I don't see any waggling, but a real D-Pad is a welcome addition. The real question now is how are you going to prop your cell phone up on a bus while you use this thing. Sorry folks, I didn't see any waggle.

It has been done before on cellphones running symbian:

"It allows using the exciting features of the Wiimote, including the 3D accelerometer and rumble functionality."
