Wii Fit To Grace Aussieland And UK Before US

The good news keeps on coming for us down under, with Nintendo trying hard to keep it's release dates between regions short, in particular with Australia and NZ, which even though I hate to admit, is pretty much the ass end of the world. Last week's announcement of Mario Kart's April arrival is a sign of things to come.
Even though Brawl is still in la-la land for everywhere other than the US and Japan (you lucky dogs), Nintendo's other Triple A title, Wii Fit has been given a release date of May 8 in Australia, two weeks before and after the American and UK release respectively.
It's strange that Nintendo is now kind of ignoring NA and switching it's focus to other regions. Maybe they used up all their resources with releasing Brawl? And are you actually gonna buy Wii Fit (which comes with the much talked about balance-board.) Who knows? Tell us what you think in the comments section.

Maybe Nintendo figures the game won't go over as well in NA, what with our obesity "epidemic" and all. We don't exactly come across as a culture who likes to exercise, at least not to outside observers (we might pretend like we do in our heads though).
I do plan to get Wii Fit. I think it will be an excellent addition to my current working out plans, that also will fill some of my need to play video games.
And besides. I can't go to the gym at 11PM, but I can play Wii Fit!
Goodness knows I wouldn't like to be offensive to our former colony... but is it possible there might have to be a slightly more robust Wii Fit peripheral for the US? I'm not saying all us Brits are totally skinny but then we didn't invent this http://www.x-entertainment.com/articles/0744/
