Alone In The Dark Pushed Back To June
Coming from Australia, I've learned not to hold my breath with release dates. It can lead to disappointment if you do otherwise. The reasons can be varied, from censorship to language issues, very inexcusable most of the time. But the one exception behind the rule is to better and enhance the product. It was the reason behind Brawl's constant delays if you remember (We better get a damn fine version here).
Well, Atari has told Eurogamer just that, citing quality assurance as the main factor for the big budget title Alone In The Dark's release date push from May to June. Apparently they want to add some extra zing and iron out all the bugs before shipping out. Good to see they're learning from previous mistakes, in particular the infamously glitchy Driv3r. Still no word though on the PS3 version though.
To be honest, I'm not particularly interested in Alone In The Dark, or the horror genre at all for that matter, but I'm sure fans of the series will be disappointed, having to wait a extra month. But isn't having a much better game in the end and knowing the development team actually gave a hoot worth that extra month. I sure think it is.
