CNET Interviews World Of Goo's Kyle Gabler
(Note: Apparently, Hulu videos can only been watched in the United States. International readers might try this link to an un-embeddable version from the CNet website, although I can't tell for sure whether this one is similarly limited. Apologies for the confusion.)CNet's posted a pretty lengthy interview with 2-D Boy's Kyle Gabler, one of the creators of World of Goo, a game that's had us buzzing for quite some time. The video mostly touches on the "new world" of indie game design, where gamers can more directly help to keep food on a game designer's table. Kind of like those Christian children's charities, except instead of some sad letters and photographs, you get a nifty game for your money. In talking about his fellow indie game designers, Gabler remains sunshine and rainbows.
They are a little bit stupid or crazy because... [laughs] I guess you kind of have to be so that you don't notice that what you're doing is probably not financially viable.
The video also discusses Kyle's prior work as a student creating the Experimental Gameplay Project, and the affect it had on the young designers that participated. In all it's a good peek into a creative world that, until now, most gamers haven't been given the opportunity to experience.

"We're sorry, currently our video library can only be streamed within the Unites States."
Hulu sucks.
I get the same message as hmm. (._.;)
Sorry, guys. Check the updated note above for another link, although it can't be embedded and I can't be sure it's watchable outside the US either.
Hulu's a decent service with obvious limitations placed on it by the content providers and copyright holders. They're working on getting international service up but the thing launched less than a month ago.
