GayGamer Week In Review - Week Of 3/31/2008

aprilfool.jpg

  • For a brief period of time, we all saw the light and renounced our sinful ways. Then we remembered how much we like pole and changed back. Whew!

  • Microsoft said "No Thanks" to Cave who were interested in bringing a couple of their best shooters to XBLA. Too bad they couldn't have shoehorned a Yaris in there or something, then they would have fit right in.

  • Sony announced a redesign is underway for the Playstation Store. They won't be updating for two weeks, so hopefully it will be a little more than fluffing the pillows and moving the coffee table.

  • Asterick asked just how hard do you nerd out?

  • Welcome Pixel Poet, our new late night writer and additional SanFran correspondent!

  • Dualshock 3 controllers will be here a tad early, and Sony provided a list of games we can expect to rattle the thing on day one.

  • In the newest GayGamer podcast, Tiny Dancer and Fruit Brute tackled today's toughest issues using a combination of book smarts and good old fashioned common sense.

  • Fruit Brute rounded up your answers to "What's your system seller?"

  • Wootini asked if you still rent games, and why?

  • Ken Levine talked System Shock 2. The game industry is so often hyper-focused on what's new and what's next, it's nice to see a developer getting a chance to talk about a legacy title.

  • Pixel Poet visited THQ's gamer day and gave impressions of Battle of the Bands, de Blob, and Saints Row 2.

  • If you're interested in the Metal Gear Online Beta but not so into pre-ordering, Noun presented a possibility.

  • You Have to Burn the Rope challenged our perceptions of reality and, in a way, made us all better people.
