Arc System Works' (of Guilty Gear X and Hokuto no Ken fame) new beauty, Battle Fantasia, has dropped as a demo on the Japanese PlayStation Store, and it's a stunner. Featuring beautiful 3D combat styled entirely as a 2D fighting game, Battle Fantasia can be considered as a miraculous hybrid of the good things we hope Street Fighter IV will produce, and RPG conventions a la Dragon Quest.
For a 300MB demo, you are limited to only accessing the rambunctious Marco for three consecutive fights in single player mode, though a second character is accessible in versus.
Arc System Works' is currently planning for a release of Battle Fantasia for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, though only the 360 version has been noted to be eventually arriving in the US.

Downloaded it thanks to you guys tipping me off. It was fun, wish we could play with a few more characters but what can you do. The controls seemed simple enough and Ashley looks cute :)
