Let The 2008 WiiFit Crap-O-Thon Commence!

Oh, let it rain unnecessary peripherals!
With more than a month-and-a-half before Wii Fit's scheduled May 19 arrival, peripheral manufacturers are feverishly struggling to produce a cornucopia of mediocrity just for you, the consumer, to adopt!
Let's see here, we've got a combo kit with skid pads, a potentially useful rechargable battery pack for you to waste the cost of a new title on, a Wii Fit Fashion Flare Fun bag so you can your balance board to the office, a knee-saver (and I'll leave it at that) and a guard for stinky feet.
I have to wonder how successful any these will be after the projected $90 cost for the title and the Balance Board? Can you think of any peripherals that would enhance your fitness quest?

Note to self... talk to nyko about developing a special water bottle and set of wrist bands. Maybe some leg warmers? Nah, to garish. Oh, but a headband! Yes... Yes... And I'll charge $19.99.
I don't know.. I guess it's kind of useful? I don't think I'd pay a whole lot of anything for this, but it might be kind of nice. I have rechargeable batteries already, but that green pad looks kinda nifty... Oh well. Let's see how well it sells?
This still doesn't trump the sword and shield plastic crap that was made for Zelda.
I'm surprised that Nintendo doesn't produce a series of weighted dumbbells that allow a Wii remote to slot inside.
That seems like it would be an obvious and useful addition to Wii fit. Weight training is an important aspect of fitness but is often done poorly. The ability to monitor technique via the remote's accelerometer and get feedback though the wii remote speaker would be a welcome addition. It would certainly make the cost of Wii fit seem like a steal compared to gym fees and a personal trainer...
Especially considering us Aussies are due for a AU$150 price gouge. Tisk tisk!
That is a hell of an idea, Dunks! Sucks about Australia... well, sucking.
I think the Yoga mat is the only one likely to get my money; depending on how much they're expecting for it. I'd prefer to get a Nintendo branded mat though.
There are a lot of dumb peripherals, but after I looked into the balance board a bit I actually think it is a great product. As long as it can live up to what it says it does it will definitely be something I will buy. I have always wanted to start doing yoga, and if this program is truly able to do that and have continued software support I think it will be great.
Only time will tell.
