Midway Announces Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe
Boy am I giddy with anticipation with this news. Midway has revealed that the latest iteration of its Mortal Kombat franchise, Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe, will be able to let players throw down with the likes of Superman and Batman. Unfortunately, per DC's request, there will be no fatalities (curses! I would kill to see Batman perform a fatality on Sonya!). So far only Superman, Batman, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero have been confirmed, but you can bet that more will be announced soon. The game is set for a fall release.
Fighting fans take note, this is the second time this year we've witnessed WTF cameos in a fighting game. What's next, Tekken VS Full House? That would actually be kind of cool...

No Fatalities?? Didn't Midway learn from MK:A that altering the finishing move system was a bad idea and that taking them out completely is just madness? You would think that the DC comics that let Frank Miller do a Batman series would be totally down with watching their beloved characters frozen and decapitated. Very disappointing and as out of touch as the lack of damage modeling in Gran Turismo.
Tekken Vs. Full House would be okay, but imagine Tekken Vs. Fun House, you Yanks got a bastardised and utterly crap version of this awesome show, as hosted by the guy with the worlds worst haircut.

Crossovers rule. But with Mortal "Uppercutfest" Kombat? That's like putting a hot fireman outfit on a fat, greasy plumber. Pointless.

although like poke kombat i do get excited at of an over hall of the franchise.
