New Game Releases For The Week Of 04/21/08

Lots of releases this week for the DS and the Wii. We have Square Enix's dual screen action role-playing game The World Ends With You coming out on the DS this week. Look for a lovely review write-up about the game from our own Mr. Mog later in the week. The add-on chapter of Persona 3:FES is also coming out this week, allowing for all you fans of the series to get even more of the story and the 'true' ending to the game, and anyone who hasn't played Persona 3 has another chance to do so now. Two games that Fruit and I have had some preview time with, Battle of the Bands and NBA Ballers: Chosen One, are also releasing this week.
Oh, and a little known game called Mario Kart Wii will be popping into stores at the end of the week (the 27th). Enjoy.
The World Ends With You (DS)
Persona 3: FES (PS2)
Mario Kart Wii (Wii)
Battle of the Bands (Wii)
NBA Ballers: Chosen One (PS3, X360)
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time (DS)
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness (DS)
River King: Mystic Valley (DS)
The Red Star (Wii)
Wild Earth: African Safari (Wii)
Chameleon (PSP)
Dream Pinball 3D (Wii, DS)
Target: Terror (Wii)
Turok (PC)

The more I read about "The World Ends With You" on other sites, the more I'm convinced that it may be the gayest game released this year (so far).
I had no clue The Red Star was headed to Wii. If it's still a budget game, no one owning a Wii should hesitate picking it up. It has to be one of the most underplayed, under appreciated, hidden gem of a game from the PS2/Xbox. It's a perfect mixture of old school brawlers like Streets of Rage or Double Dragon with a heavy dose of classic side-scrolling shooting. Great combat system, fun shooting, clever boss design. I cannot say enough good things about this game.
This week is going to kill me. Mario Kart, Fes (never played Persona 3), and Red Star.

hehe, I know that the term gay is now used more and more in everyday language, but I'm not entirely sure what you meant...
I just ordered Mario Kart from amazon (Im in the UK) and they are telling me that I won't get it until June!!!!!!! WTF
@ MME: It's a game that uses those little punk button/pins (like the ones sold on the site store) as attribute modifiers for your character. I when Mudd says gay, he means that this game is as gay as Project Runway. Which makes me wonder if the GG.net buttons on my laptop bag increase my strength, stamina or charisma.
@ MME: Stat bonuses from equipment are also affected by how fashionable your equipment is. As brands rise and fall in popularity, your equipment becomes more and less powerful. You can also affect the popularity of a brand by wearing it, essentially being a trend-setter.
So yeah, definitely Project Runway gay.
@game-boi: I dunno, but since gaining the GG.net buttons myself I have noticed an increase in stamina *wink*
