Something tells me that Sega did not have a say in the decision to smack Sonic the Hedgehog on this package. Located in the Philippines, this cute little bag of candy cigarettes is available for purchase from the impressionable youth.
It strikes me as somewhat comical that they would pick Sonic, the poster child of running and fitness as far as video game mascots go (Chubby Plumber or Bandicoot? Forget about it.). My vote is that it's some conspiracy to say that video games make kids start smoking.

Ah, the wonderfully bad chalky taste those crummy things offered in my youth. Though I think I recall one time getting a pack where if you inhaled/exhaled, the red spot changed color. Like I was actually smoking! How cool/subversive is that?
Sonic causes cancer, how much longer must Sega torture us with Sonic, he offends the eyes in three dimensions, offends the hands with awful gameplay and now offends the lungs with inoperable masses.
Colour me sickened. This is all part of the furry conspiracy.
