Splatterhouse To Be Revived On The Wii

In the latest edition of EGM, Namco-Bandai has revealed their revival of the classic arcade (and later TurboGrafx-16) game, Splatterhouse, for the Wii. Splatterhouse, a game dripping in high violence for the 80s, was one of the first games to have a parental advisory disclaimer attached to it. Sure it may be tame by today's standards; however, it paved the way for many of the horror-survival games that came in the years to follow. It seems that Namco-Bandai has decided to revisit the game during its 20th year anniversary to help bring it to the "next-gen" platforms. As to what to expect from the game, well I guess that's what will sell the issues of the EGM magazine this month.

YES!!!!
I've been waiting for this news! I would've settled for having Splatterhouse 2 and 3 on Virtual Console, but this is so much better!
Let's just hope we get to swing the Wiimote to use Rick's 2x4. Even if it's just a simple waggle, it'll be fun.
