Video: An Educational Lecture On The Uncanny Valley, Video Games and Pornography
There are two highly intelligible and valuable lessons to be learned from this clip from NBC's 30 Rock:
- There is a justifiable reason why Duel Love was both so disturbing (nipple-less mutants) and mediocre ("Oh, look. I'm toweling off this guy. Again. I wonder if I shout, "Do it yourself!" in the DS microphone, he'll figure it out?").
- The application of the Star Wars analogy may be one of the most resourceful teaching mechanics that I've heard of in quite some time. It sure as heck trumps the idea of multiple intelligences.
