Video: Six Solid Minutes Of Mortal Kombat Memories

I can still recall the first time I experienced Mortal Kombat. After having studied the intricate game play diagrams packed into Electronic Gaming Monthly, I prepared myself for an excursion to Six Flags hoping that they would have recently adopted a machine. So, after combing the arcade and passing the herd gathered around the Street Fighter II: Championship Edition machine, I witnessed my first massacre as some boy twice my size was beautifully executing fatalities over, and over, and over. Ah, such a sight.

These six gloriously gory minutes featuring all 231 fatalities from the entire series is a pleasant walk down a very violent lane.

If only the fighting system in the last few had been worked on...and Apocalypse not been complete ****. When your using characters people grew up with for the last time, and you've worked building up a decent story (nowhere near the soul series, of course, just bear with me) have some endings that don't seem like you got high and drunk and wrote down whatever came to mind. And at least one unique fatality, lazy bastards.

Sorry, I'm a little bitter.

Sounds like someone needs to crawl back under their bridge. It's armaggedon not apocalypse.

Anyway, MK will always have a special place in my heart. I remember back when I was 5 years old, I was so excited when I pulled off my first fatality in MK1 (Scorpion's toasty.)

MK2 was awesome, but 3 was a bit of a disappointment. My interest sparked back up with Deadly Alliance. IMO that has the best fighting system of the bunch.

It's a shame what they're doing with the MK Vs. DC thing. I hate DC now..

Excuse me, did you call me a troll? The last few games did have a little problem with the combat, but I liked them for the most part. The last game was a horrible slap in the face, and forgive me, for getting the name wrong. If it makes you feel any better, I realized my mistake after posting.

Perhaps trying at a reasonable discussion than immediately calling someone a troll would suit everyone better, hmm?

The Fatalities and other ending moves had novelty value, but that's pretty much the only advantage that the Mortal Kombat series had over the others at the time.
