WiiWare To Launch With The Nintendo Channel

As anticipation continues to build for the WiiWare launch on May 12, Nintendo has decided to attach an added incentive for owners by coupling the North American launch with the importation of the Everyone's Nintendo Channel, now known simply as the Nintendo Channel.
Here's a quick rundown of the features to expect:
- Users will be able to review WiiWare games, given that they have invested at least one hour into the title.
- User reviews will be available for everyone to read.
- The Nintendo Channel will be a free download through the Shopping Channel
- The Nintendo Channel should carry all of the features present in the Everyone's Nintendo Channel. So, gamers should expect to see featured video content, such as developer interviews and previews.
- Users will be able to scan upcoming release schedules for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS.
- Users will be able to download game demos for the Nintendo DS via the Nintendo Channel.
I don't know about you, but I'm always excited to see new gizmos and gadget arrive to clutter my Wii's home screen. Note that this announcement is only for North America. Nintendo has yet to disclose official launch details for the Wii Software Channel in PAL regions, though it has been rumored to appear sometime in May as well.

I've been waiting for the Nintendo Channel pretty much since I first got my Wii. Can't wait for the DS demos!
DS downloads!
Finally!!
Took them long enough. Bet there are plenty of developers who were begging for this channel since it would act as free advertising for their demo games.
Plus it will feel a lot better to download demos at home rather than going to a store.
I'm with everyone else....I can't wait to download DS demos (it's all I ever seem to do on the 360!). I'm also happy will finally get some Wiiware games. I've got some points cards that I just couldn't bring myself to spend on retro titles since I already owned all the carts for the titles I really wanted...
