A DS Lite Not Even Liberace Could Love
Oh sweet holy zombie Christ, what is this encrusted horror I see before me? I see pearls in white and pink, roses in pink and ivory, crystals, and a giant pink heart wrapped in two rows of ugly and topped with a golden crown. It's a handbag, right? Something horrible and bedazzled for some rich guy's second wife to clutch at a gala where she doesn't fit in, right?
Well. It isn't.
What it is, is a nightmare mod that adds all kinds of tacky to a poor DS Lite - straight from a Japanese outfit with the very telling name of King Deco. Just in time to miss Mother's Day, thank goodness!

I would TOTALLY rock that! No seriously, I would. It's so deliciously tacky, and the heart in the middle is the exact same shade of pink as my guitar-shaped purse! It's awesome!

Something about teenage Japanese girls' infatuation with extremely tacky things is kind of endearing. It's like, I could never own that and live it down, but it's casual for them.
Imagine a girl having that though, and her cell phone and fingernails match (and whatever else has a non-porous surface that craft glue sticks to); it's pretty typical there.
I think I've seen somebody in williamsburg rocking that!
This dialogue snippet from Psychonauts seems pertinent:
