Annie Get Your SD Cards Out: WiiWare Games Space Usage Revealed
Following hot on the heels of Noun's article about the size of games on the WiiWare service and it's burden on what precious little internal memory there is, comes this handy little chart by the Virtual Console Database which shows how much space of your 2163 block (that's just as-is without extra channels and VC games) wii will be taken up by the first round of releases.
Defend Your Castle - 121 blocks [121 Needed]Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life As A King - 287 blocks [287 Needed, 8 save blocks], DLC around 10 blocks
LostWinds - 258 blocks [259 Needed, 1 save block]
Pop - 110 blocks [110 Needed, 2 save blocks]
TV Show King - 290 blocks [290 needed, 1 save block]
V.I.P: Casino Blackjack - 207 [207 needed]
If you haven't invested a whole lot into the VC and with extra channels then you shouldn't have any problems with the size for now (the biggest, FFC:MLAK takes up roughly 1/10 of the total memory) but for the majority of us that have and in the future I can see it being a huge problem. Hopefully Nintendo will ethier release a external memory thingymabob or at the very least allow VC and WiiWare games to be run off of a SD card, which then gives you the size limit as big as your wallet and technical restrictions.

Is it even possible to run games off an SD card? I heard not.
Thank god SD memory is so cheap nowadays...
I might have played Crystal Chronicles four hours straight yesterday, and I'm trying to ween myself away from it by not even going near the Wii today. It's like Animal Crossing and Sim City thrown together!
