Bass Pro Shop Deal: Reel In Some Savings

Over the weekend I actually decided to put down the controller and go outside to the beach. No, this wasn't an attempt to try and get a little more fit before Wii Fit comes out this week, it was more out of necessity since a heat wave hit San Francisco late last week and my apartment has no A/C. Being the big gamer that I am, I quickly released that some of the money that should have gone to outdoor purchases, such as beach towels, sunscreen, and a swimsuit, had instead been diverted to help fuel my love for all things gaming. Coming this realization also made my wallet a little slimmer as I purchased said items from the store; however, my unfortunate predicament can now be avoided by the likes of you as videogames and outdoor sports come together in the holy event that any thrifty gamer should love. . . a 'Sale'.
As you can see from the advert, Bass Pro Shop is throwing a sale in which you can receive 15% off select merchandise at their store by trading in a game to them. While this might be seen as a 'get your kids off their lazy videogame playing butts and get them outdoors' it's actually a good opportunity to trade in some old game you no longer care to play (can anyone say Madden) and get a decent reduction on some gear you may need for summer. As to what will happen to the games, they won't be melted down to create a new shooting range at Bass Pro Shop, there's actually a charitable solution:
The donated games will all be going to Get Well Gamers (http://getwellgamers.org/index.php) for redistribution among their network of hospitals. M rated games will find their way to troops overseas through GWG's partnership with Fun for Our Troops (http://www.funforourtroops.org/)." I'm going to go feel really, really bad now.
So there you go, save some money, get outdoors, and help out those that need games just as much as you do, all the while cutting a little bit more out of Gamestop's already bloated earnings. Now if you don't mind, I'm off to trade in E.T. so that I can buy some climbing rope; I hear it's great for fastening things down and won't chaff my wrists.
