Cake Mania Wii... Wheee?

Well, the popular PC game Cake Mania was downloaded 80 million times, which led to a sequel, Cake Mania 2, and a release on the Nintendo DS that sold a few hundred thousand copies itself. All of this means that it should come as no surprise that Sandlot Games and Majesco Entertainment Company have announced Cake Mania: In The Mix, for release this holiday season on the Nintendo Wii.
"Joining Cake Mania's trademark resource management play with the Wii's motion-based control is a natural extension of an incredibly successful brand on PC and DS," said Gui Karyo, Executive Vice President of Operations, Majesco. "The Wii version's expanded feature set, ranging from catering integration to cake design mini-games, enables fans of the series to experience the franchise in an entirely new way."
Cake Mania: In The Mix adds Wii Remote controls, new bakery locales, and a Shop Rating feature. Oh, and naturally, there will be mini-games where you use the Wii Remote as a cake decorating tool. Honestly, I feel like the Wii is quickly reaching the saturation point with the casual and mini-games. But maybe that's just me. In fairness, I've never played Cake Mania. (I'm not big on the resource-management type games) So who knows? The only thing that caught my eye in the press release was that the customers include "ninjas to pregnant moms to leprechauns!"
